Activity description:
The Program has the collaboration of Dr. Vicente Moliner, from the Jaume I University, in Spain, and started the development of the project: Application of Hybrid Methods (QM / MM) in the Study of the Effect of the Environment in Chemical and Biochemical Processes for Natural Products of the Amazon, approved in the CAPES notice of international cooperation, period 2006-2010. This collaboration already results in the realization of sandwich Doctoral Degree in Spain and PhD co-supervision, as well as the use of computer equipment for calculating enzymatic systems.

This collaboration started with the completion of the post-doctorate of Professor Claudio Nahum Alves and will allow students of the Program to carry out a sandwich Doctorate at the Department of Chemistry at the University of Florida, as well as the availability to the UFPA group of programs and computer systems for the calculation of enzymatic systems.

The Program has the collaboration of Dr. Olivier Masson and Phlippe Thomas, from the Université de Limoges, France. This collaboration started with the completion of the post-doctoral work of Professor Dr. Marcos Anicite and also includes the development of the project: International Cooperation Project in Nanobiotechnology: Development of Ceramic Bioactive Molecules of Bioactive Molecules with Anti-inflammatory Activities (Indomethacin and Ibulprofen), approved in CAPES in the international cooperation notice, period 2013-2017. This project will allow students to carry out a sandwich doctorate at the Université de Limoges, as well as the availability for the UFPA group to carry out PDF and X-ray analyzes, among others.
