Support for health professionals
PPGQMMM is part of a multidisciplinary team formed by groups from UFPA graduations linked to the Institute of Health Sciences (Pharmacy and Medicine), Institute of Biological Sciences (Biology and Biomedicine) and the Institute of Exact and Natural Sciences (Chemistry and Physics). These groups have developed a long-term project in the health area, called "Brazilian Quantum Pharmacopoeia", where medicinal chemistry and molecular modeling have been applied to describe theoretical structural chemical criteria, chemical properties, physical-chemical, activity and toxicity, including possible mechanisms of action of all therapeutic classes available on the market. This information will be cataloged and made available to health professionals and to the whole society.
